Velephi Mnisi - Der Ewige Kreis

From the original Hamburg cast. Special thanks to YouTube user Crus141, who posted the video. Velephi Patricia Mnisi played Rafiki

Beular Makhetha - Der Ewige Kreis

One of the "Der König der Löwen" original cast ensemble, Beular Makhetha, performed "Der Ewige Kreis" for the StageEntertainment's special Beliebte Musical Melodien. Please note she was the same Rafiki as in "Best of Musical" and "100 Jaar Circustheater" (when Fortis Circustheatre celebrated 100 years).

Stars in der Manege

It's a tradition of the seven years old German production to appear on a TV Show during the Christmas period. Now, it's official. It will aire on TV (I don't know if it will, cause I don't live in Germany) on December 26 (next friday). The photo is located on the official site of the production, http://www.loewenkoenig,de, and it might be chilling and aterrorifying, because (in my opinion), Velile Mchunu's voice is powerful.

Brazilians at "Der König der Löwen"!

Velephi Patricia Mnisi as Rafiki

Yes, what you've read! There are a lot of Brazilian people making their was as ensemble/covers/replacements for cast members for Disneys Der König der Löwen. Here's a list of them:

• Mariana Pinto de Souza (Sarabi)
• Claudio Goncalves (Banzai/Ed)
• Alex Brito (Ed)
• Djalma Gama Filho, Vinicius Gomes, Fernando Spengler Rodriguez (Simba)

As an homenage to my people (yes, I'm Brazilian!), the text of this post is written on yellow, blue and green (flag colors).

Cast Albums

I thought you wanted it, so, I did this video to show you the released Cast Recording albums for all productions of The Lion King.

In order of appearing, the CDs are the following:

• The Lion King [Het Album van het Nederlandse Cast] - Scheveningen Cast
• Der König der Löwen: Das Broadway musical aus Hamburg Hafen - Hamburg Cast
• The Lion King [Original Broadway Cast Recording] - needless to say
• Lion King [Japan] - Tokyo Cast (Fukuoka's one is very different from the others and it's not a Cast Recording, actually)
• Le Roi Lion [La Bande Originale en Français] - Paris Cast

Oh! And I almost forgot! This song's name is "Alles Ademt en Leeft" (Everything Breathes and Lives). And here is the lyric:

Alles ademt en leeft (Everything breath and live),
in die trage stroom (In that slow flow), die ons voort doet gaan (Which conducts our), in hoop en vrees (Hope and apreehension).
Altijd onderweg (Always underway),
altijd in beweging (Always in movement),
In de cirkel (In the circle),
Die ademt en leeft (Which breathes and lives).
